What A WONDERFUL RETREAT!

What A WONDERFUL RETREAT!

This event was anointed! The speakers not only met but exceeded expectations by leaps and bounds. The food and service was amazing and the fellowship was the kind that not only warmed us while we were there but most of us will take with us long into the future in the way of new relationships in our personal and business lives. Our spirits rested and were indeed refreshed. Some of the comments by vendors, attendees, and volunteers included:

The Holy Spirit has indeed been with us this weekend "," This was so much fun, I will certainly be back in February and "I needed this. Thank you for inviting me."

My comment about this weekend is that it was indeed anointed. It was a spiritual renewal for me in a way I didn't even know I needed or wanted. I feel blessed by the friends that were there in so many ways, and by the new friends I made there that will hopefully remain a part of my life for many seasons. I didn't get a lot of physical rest, because sometimes the work of The Holy Spirit takes time and energy, but I'm so happy that the work was began. I felt elegant and pretty this weekend among many beautiful women and that is not a feeling I have often. I normally feel rather plain and boring but there was an air of grace and beauty at this event that I know came from within each one present and culminated in the very real experience of beauty and grace.

I encourage all women who want to be all they can for themselves, for those they love and care for, and for their God, to come to a Rest Yourself event. There will be another in February 2010 which will include beauty, fashion, a runway show, and more of the love and rest of God. Check the website for more details as they come available.

Until next time,

Peace

WE'VE RESTRUCTURED THE CONFERENCE!

We have restructured our Fall retreat and conference to make it more affordable. The new conference will last one night, Sat October 24- Sun October 25. At 5pm we register and begin our evening of pampering, praising, and sharing.  Many things are planned for the weekend, but on a more intimate scale. We'll enjoy fine dining, good teaching, and much more till 1pm on Sunday. Register by 09-18-09 with a $50 deposit. If you want to partake of the full retreat experience the cost is only $139., however if you are only interested in the conference, the price is only $69.

We have also restructured the vendor pricing: vendors interested in joining us for the retreat and getting to know your potential clients better may pay $200 for their booth plus retreat package, or $100 for booth only.

Don't Let Someone Take Your Place

Don't Let Someone Take Your Place

There is still room for you at the Rest Yourself Conference and Retreat. There are even still a few vendors' spots open. The question is; are you going to let someone else take your place?

How many times have you sat back and thought to yourself, "I wish I'd just taken a chance on ...", or "I should have done ______ for myself, I deserve it!"? If you are the average woman, then the answer to that question is more than once, and when the opportunity has passed, there is only regret at not having taken the chance. So I'm asking you now; will you let this opportunity pass you by as well?

A Rest Yourself weekend is a weekend of pampering, spiritual refreshing, laughter, and fun, meeting new women, rest, and so much more.

Every woman needs her time and place to find her wings, rejuvenate, renew, and realize the beautiful creation she is.

Perhaps you already have your wings. Wouldn't it be great to share and help others learn to soar?

Or maybe you have played on the wind but life has taken "it" out of you and you have forgotten how to fly..., well, come and learn how again. Rest Yourself is all about helping women learn how to soar in this life and share their knowledge with others so they can too.

There is just no way around it; a Rest Yourself weekend is more than a retreat, a whole lot more.

For product, service, and other vendors, this is an opportunity to share a business plan with women eager to learn and grow; this is an opportunity to share your products and services with women who are on a path to productivity and promise. This is an opportunity to not only sell today, but to create an ongoing business relationship with women who have influence and ability and power. Rest Yourself women are already dynamic in many ways, and as they take time to renew themselves, they only become more dynamic and more able.

Yes, this event is the place to be for so many reasons. I know you are ready. Don't let someone else take your place at this season's Rest Yourself Retreat and Conference, register now at  www.restyourself.com

See you there!

Nourishesment: body, mind, and spirit

Nourishesment: body, mind, and spirit

Have you ever gotten so busy that you forgot to eat? I have and it really felt good to be in that "zone". I felt productive and purposeful. Unfortunately, too many days like that leave your body weak, your mind "fuzzy", and your patience thin resulting in less productivity overall.

The bible warns us not to "grow weary in well doing, for in due season, if [we] faint not, [we] will reap a reward". In order for our body not to grow weary we have to nourish it with food, so it is with your spirit. Spiritual food is time spent with God; in prayer, in bible reading, in meditation on His Word, in devotions. However you best connect with God, do it some every day.

Years ago my husband swore that he was closest to God on the lake. I would get so upset with him when he would head out to the lake on Sunday mornings instead of going to church with me, but for him, the lake was "church". The stillness in the early morning and God's creation surrounding him was peaceful and to Tommy, peace was equated with God. I didn't understand it but i prayed hard that God would shut my mouth and open my heart. Finally, after many years, my husband goes to church with me most Sunday mornings. But he still visits God in his own way too. That is his spiritual food.

For me, it is waking early, before the house is full of the "busy-ness" of two preteen girls and homeschooling and ministry obligations and such. It is reading God's Word then "writing it out" to digest it. I talk to God all day long in one form or another, but it isn't the same as sitting down purposefully and spending time with Him. I think the purposeful part is what honors God and nourishes my soul and my spirit.

So, how do you nourish your spirit? I ask because sometimes we forget to "eat" in the hustle and bustle of our days, even those days spent doing "God's work". In order to not grow weary in well doing, we have to use wisdom and nourish ourselves, body, mind and spirit.

Peace -

Great Meeting

Great Meeting

We had a great meeting today at Rest Yourself's offices in White Settlement. Very small gathering, but as usual, God brought the right one's together for His purposes.  We noshed on a scrumptions fare provided by our fearless leader, Jaye Arsement, and then discussed God and His Word for some time. Of course, the business at hand was discussed; marketing, sponsorship, microsoft excel spreadsheets....

But i so enjoyed the meeting, even spreadsheets couldn't quash the joy. Now that's saying a lot.

i hope more ladies come next time and are able to join in the fun and fellowship, and share the wonderful food too.

What is Rest Yourself

What is Rest Yourself

Rest Yourself Ministries is the dream-child made real by God and Jaye Arsement. Jaye has always had a special place in her heart for Women, children, animals, okay- she's a compassionate woman. As Jaye has grown in spirit and in life she has developed a deep love of God and care for women's issues.

Out of Jaye's life experiences and those of her beloved mother, she has birthed this Women's ministry for the purpose of pampering, refreshing, and inspiring everyday women. Rest Yourself will host seasonal conferences and retreats for just that purpose; to pamper, refresh and spiritually inspire the everyday woman.

As women we do so much for so many, and sometimes, even the best of the best become bitter or feel overlooked and unappreciated. These conferences aim to help women to unwinde and relax, but also to fill up once again with spirit and life, because we cannot share what we do not possess.

Learn more about the ministry, Jaye and all things Rest Yourself at www.restyourself.com
